Would you believe it if I said my least favorite choir is grocery shopping!? Ha. It makes me laugh every time I say it. Honestly, it’s something about spending an hour in a grocery store searching for all the things I need while also making sure I have every ingredient on my list for dinner prep. I always find myself trailing back and forth through the grocery store because I’ve forgotten something. Never fails. Does this happen to anyone else?
I’m so thankful that I recently discovered Walmart’s online grocery service because it has made shopping so much more convenient AND easy! You simply start by downloading the Walmart grocery app available from the App Store and you can search for all your favorite grocery products by brand/type and add them to your cart. For instance, I searched wheat bread and all the brands popped up. Or you can search Arnold’s bread and get more specific if you know the exact brand you want. Once you have everything added to your cart, you simply check out and Walmart does your grocery shopping for you in-store. I literally did all my grocery shopping from my couch and it took me less than 15 minutes. I’m like how did I just discover this?!
Picking up your groceries is even easier. You park in a dedicated pickup spot, call the number on the sign, give them your name and they hand deliver your groceries AND add them into your car. I couldn’t help but think how great this service is for people who have kids because having nieces and nephews, I know how difficult in-store shopping can be. Also, did I mention that my store associate, Anthony was SO helpful. He informed me of any substitutions made on my order and ended our visit with handing me a cold bottle of water on a hot day. It was amazing customer service and I was blown away.

Also – I’ll be sharing a recipe on stories tonight with all the items I purchased in my order, so wanted to include it below in case you want to reference it later. I call it “Healthy Parmesan Chicken” and it is SO yummy, even Drew approves. It only takes about 20 minutes to cook so it’s a great weeknight meal.
Healthy Parmesan Chicken:
1 pack thin chicken breasts
1 container Italian bread crumbs
1 container grated parmesan cheese
1 pack riced cauliflower
1 can fire roasted diced tomatoes
1 package grape tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
olive oil and salt/pepper to taste
| Shop Ingredients |
- Beat 2 eggs into a bowl. Combine 1 cup italian bread crumbs and 1/3 cup parmesan cheese in a separate bowl.
- Wash chicken. Dredge chicken into egg bowl and then transfer to bread crumb bowl and cover thoroughly.
- Heat oil into a sauce pan and cook chicken until fully cooked through and breading is brown/toasted.
- Bowl cauliflower rice until tender.
- Heat garlic in saucepan with olive oil until fragrant. Add grape tomatoes and cook until tender. Add fire roasted diced tomatoes into same saucepan and cook through until warm.
- Plate food. Half cauliflower rice on to plates. Add one piece of chicken each and add 2 scoops of tomato mixture on top. Salt and pepper to taste.
