Happy Monday, friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! This was my first weekend at home with Drew and the pups and it was soooo nice. As much as I love traveling and seeing amazing places, it’s always nice to have a simple, low-key weekend at home to relax and recover. Next weekend I’m off on another trip so I definitely soaked up quiet time this weekend and spent some time getting ready for the trip.
Today on the blog I’m sharing a look I shot during our trip to Hawaii. My jumpsuit is still fully in stock so I thought it was the perfect time to share ’10 Jumpsuits You Need for Summer.’ A common misconception is that jumpsuits are only appropriate for Fall and Winter seasons, but I think they’re the perfect chic look for warm-weather, too. I love wearing jumpsuits for all different occasions, both casual and dressy. I find myself wearing jumpsuits most often for date nights or casual days running errands.
In order to make a jumpsuit warm-season ‘appropriate,’ I recommend focussing on 3 elements of a jumpsuit: fabric/texture, color/print and cut. I feel like I’m over hear explaining jumpsuits like diamonds, LOL! But really, it’s very important that the jumpsuit be lightweight (i.e. texture/fabric), and the color be appropriate for Spring/Summer. I generally lean towards linen or cotton blends and usually choose brighter color jumpsuits or those with floral prints to be safe. The jumpsuit I’m wearing in this post is perfect due to the cut and fabric. It’s a cotton blend and spaghetti strap, so although it is black, the style and texture make it perfect for Spring and Summer.
If you’re still having trouble determining what jumpsuits are perfect for warm weather, I’ve rounded 10 other favorites I’d recommend this season. This should help guide you in your search. If you style a jumpsuit for Summer, I’d love for you to tag me in your pictures on Instagram so I can share on my stories: @baileyschwartz!
