One of the requests I get often on my blog is inspiration for workwear outfits. Unfortunately (and fortunately), I don’t work in the corporate world anymore and my job is much more casual so I don’t have to dress up for work. My normal workwear is everyday clothing, such as cute tops and jeans. BUT, last year when I worked in marketing, I always thought it was so hard finding cute and affordable workwear. After all, if you work in corporate world, you may wear nice workwear more than you do everyday clothing.
This top is perfect for the corporate world. It’s trendy with a little sass, but I also love that it has a professional striped pattern. I have to admit, this skirt is probably a little short for work, but I always go a little shorter on my skirts because I want to be able to transition them to everyday. I think you could still getaway wearing this one so that you could use it more often and have it for multiple purposes. I don’t know about you, but I’m not the kind of gal to wear pencil skirts on the weekends.
Now let’s discuss accessories, because they can always dress up a look and make a strong statement. I can’t say enough about this fuchsia colored mule slides. They’re so chic! And did I mention affordable? They’re under $70 and come in a bunch of different colors. They’re perfect for adding a little pop of color to a simple workwear look. Also – I’m a huge fan of leopard in work clothing. It teeters on the side of sass yet conservative. Leopard can be interpreted so many ways, but its always a great pattern to add to any look. I recommend it in small doses, like this leopard clutch I am carrying.
Let me know if you enjoyed my workwear post. I’m happy to do more of them in the future if you find them helpful!
