Beach Sunset in Key West

Drew and I got back just in time for a beach sunset one evening after touring around the downtown area of Key West. We decided to sit out on our gorgeous porch at Parrot Key Resort and watch the sun go down. It was so nice. Often when I’m traveling I get wrapped up in wanting to see everything, and I never take a second to sit and relax. Sometimes it’s nice to take a moment and appreciate what’s around you rather than look towards the next thing on your list. This was definitely one of those moments. Please tell me I’m not alone in this, and you guys do that all the time, too? 🙂

This red ruffle dress was perfect for the Key West vibe. The color, the ruffle detail, the light-weight feel, everything. I also love that it was loose fitting (size down if you want yours more fitted – I’m wearing a size small for reference), but looking back on these photos, I think my short self probably should have paired this dress with heels instead of flats, lol. We were touring around town so I wanted to make sure I wore comfortable shoes, so I chose these flats. If you’re in the market for a new pair of flats, this pair is so fun! The flats come in 3 different colors, all with different lace up designs. Also – I received so many compliments on this angel wing necklace during the trip. It’s one of my favorite pieces of jewelry right now, and I wear it all the time.

Countdown to the weekend is on! I’m still in a vacation mindset, so this week has been SO long!
