You’re probably thinking “Where I come from, it’s corn bread and chicken…” is a very odd title for a fashion blog post (though I do love that song). Indeed, it kind of is, but I took these photos while I was visiting Albemarle, NC, a verrryyyy small town where I grew up. Most of my extended family still lives there, and Drew and I visited them for my Paw Paw’s (yes, Paw Paw) birthday this past weekend. If the title of this post and name of my grandfather doesn’t describe how truly southern my roots are, then how about the fact that one of my favorite things growing up was going 4-wheeling in the woods and I love putting salt on tomatoes AND watermelon! 🙂
On another note, I love how feminine and frilly this outfit is. My blue lace top is super comfortable and under $60. I think it would be so cute paired with a jean skirt, cardigan and over the knee boots for Fall! Also, how fun is this navy tassel purse? It also comes in a larger clutch version tagged HERE. I love the colors and velvet texture for Fall. I think it’s a nice change from your normal black and brown purses. Who said Fall can’t be colorful, too? Right?
It’s almost the weekend, y’all! Does anyone else feel like this week has dragged by?
